MA-system continues to support Atea in the construction and design of their warehouses. The framework of the building, roof and walls are now in place and the project is proceeding according to plan.
MA system has previously reported about Atea's logistics center, which is being built at Småland Airport, where PostNord's terminal also is located. The entire project is expected to be completed by spring 2019.
The warehouse will also contain a state-of-the-art shuttle system based on the goods-to-person principle. The system streamlines the picking process and is very space efficient, which translates into higher capacity for future volumes.
Consultants from MA-system also help with the optimization of pallet racks that is complementing the automation facility. The optimization contributes to shorter picking rounds, and the right goods can be in the "Golden Zone" where the picking is the most efficient.
